Malayalam Hot Actress Shakeela is getting married

Some news may put you in a confused state; you don’t know how to react! You can’t ignore it, at the same time can’t speak up. Such hot news about a hot babe (aunty?) hit the newsstands today and it has become the hot topic of every one! Yes. Shakeela revealed that she is getting married to a Chennai based Business Man in June 2010.

Shakeela debuted through ‘Playgirls’ at the age of 15 as a supporting actress. Her big hit film ‘Kinnarathumbikal’ brought her under limelight. She had become popular by acting in B-grade Malayalam films at a time when Malayalam film industry was going through a bad recession. The deluge of B-grade Shakeela films produced on a shoestring budget of 20 to 25 lakhs rupees devastated the Star value of the heroes in the Malayalam film industry. Her popular B-Grade films were dubbed and released in all south Indian languages even in Assamese too! She is now appearing in comedy oriented character roles in Tamil, Telugu and Kannada. She acted in more than 200 movies out of which more than 100 are Malayalam movies.

Hefty figure Shakeela announced during shooting of Tamil film ‘Nachiapuram’ that my mother, who was my guardian and companion, passed away recently. So, my food habits changed and I lost 20 Kgs of my weight. Mollywood has not expelled me. I acted with Mohanlal in ‘Chota Mumbai’ recently. As far as glamour acting is concerned, I would say my season is over and nobody will be interested to see my glamour hereafter. I am going to act in character roles. My would-be is a Chennai based Business Man. I don’t want to reveal his name now as somebody may try to hamper our marriage. Though it is a love marriage, parents of my would-be consented for this marriage which will be held in June. I will act after marriage also. Senegalese novelist and campaigner for women's rights Mariama Bâ said “A woman must marry the man who loves her but never the one she loves; that is the secret of lasting happiness” Let us wish Shakeela that her bed be filled with full of roses after her marriage!

Is Lakshmi Rai Mammootty's Favourite Heroine?

U.S. writer and humorist Mark Twain once said “Many a small thing has been made large by the right kind of advertising” To you and me, this quote may sound strange. But Lakshmi Rai knows what this quote exactly means and she is an expert in this field. In this site, we have already discussed in detail about her Smart Moves to be in the spotlights of media and general public. Scroll down to know What’s new this time?

Eventhough Belgaum Beauty Lakshmi Rai proved her acting prowess in the film Dhaam Dhoom and her portrayal was widely appreciated by the audience, she got only two heroines or multi-heroines subjects after the film viz. Mutthirai, Vaamanan, Naan Avanillai 2 and her forthcoming film Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam. She could not compete with top heroines in Tamil viz. Tamanna, Nayanthara, Namitha, Trisha, etc. But her Malayalam film ‘2 Harihar Nagar’ released earlier this year was a block-buster. Her good luck continued and she paired with Malayalam Super Star Mammootty in the super hit ‘Annan Thambi’ and moderate hit ‘Parunthu’. Now, she has paired with Mammootty for the third time in forthcoming action comedy ‘Chattambinadu’, which will be a Christmas release. She has got two more Malayalam projects in her hand ‘Casanova’ and ‘Droner’

A leading Tamil evening daily revealed that Lakshmi Rai wants to encash this opportunity to bag further offers in Malayalam and to grab the No.1 position among Mollywood heroines. She is purposefully spreading the news that “I and Mammootty are thick friends and he is recommending me” Mollywood is wondering as to why ‘clean slate’ Mammootty has not commented anything about this propagation. I don’t know when Belgaum Beauty is going to grasp the meaning of this proverb “If you sow the wind you will harvest a hurricane”

Trisha's perfect move towards the future

U.S. film director Josef Von Sternberg once said humourously “The only way to succeed is to make people hate you. That way, they remember you” After a streak of 4 flops marking the beginning of Trisha’s career, ‘Mounam Pesiyadhe’ yielded her good name. But she suddenly turned glamourous way from ‘Saamy’, a mega hit film. Though family audience hated her glamourous acting, she has been popular as ‘Saamy Maamy’ after that film. People also hated her unabashed behaviour in night parties and her unique way of speaking Tamil mixing too may English words (she is the inventor of Tanglish language).

A Leading Tamil Magazine in its recent issue revealed that Trisha signed ‘Khatta Meeta’ just for rupees 20 Lakhs! She has given unlimited call sheets for the film and doing home work sincerely to conquer Bollywood through this film. You know she is demanding 80 Lakhs to 1.25 Crore rupees for committing Tamil and Telugu films. But Trisha believes that she will become popular in North India also once the film hits the silver screen and she can make good the loss of this film by billing high on future projects and ad films. But Trisha’s mother says that it is a challenging role for Trisha, Akshay Kumar is the hero and Priyadarshan is the director. Considering this combination, Trisha signed the film without worrying about money and this opportunity is very important for Trisha’s career.

Trisha is not only brilliant in raising earning potentials but also wise in investing too. She has built a Star Hotel in Hyderabad to encash her father’s experience in the field of hotel management. She is planning a big celebration during the launch of the hotel and is going to invite the VIPs of Tollywood to inaugurate it. U.S. industrialist John D. Rockefeller rightly said “If you want to succeed you should strike out on new paths rather than travel the worn paths of accepted success”

Sangeetha's Buy One Get One FREE Offer!

Opportunity seldom knocked her door when she was Young and Fleshy. At that time, she was called as Rasika. But when she portrayed a challenging role for the first time in her life for the National Award Winning film ‘Pithamagan’, not only she bagged Filmfare and TN State Awards for it but also established herself as one of the best actresses in Kollywood. But success was eluding Sangeetha. ‘Uyir’ and ‘Dhanam’ helped Sangeetha to regain the attention of the film industry.

Sangeetha knows she can’t sizzle the audience by appearing in skimpy clothes at this age. She does that with her face expressions and body language. News says Sangeetha is going to act in a negative role in her forthcoming film, ‘Thambikottai’ and her role in the film resembles ‘Padayappa’ Neelaambari’s character. She changed her make-up and mannerisms to spruce up the character. A leading Tamil evening daily says Sangeetha is trying for acting chance for her singer hubby Krish in Tollywood as Kollywood has not responded positively for her request. She has given an Offer to Tollywood that if they give a chance to her husband, she will act in that film for FREE.

There is no denying that every man or woman should have the opportunity to prosper to the limit of their ability. But, Wealth is like seawater; the more we drink, the thirstier we become; and the same is true of fame. So, Sangeetha and Krish should keep in their mind the following saying of U.S. Psychologist Abraham Maslow “A musician must make music, an artist must paint, a poet must write, if he is to be ultimately at peace with himself. What one can be, one must be”

Meena's hot move in her second innings

I learned from Wikipedia recently that on a recent survey taken in the year 2009 for Top 100 Most Beautiful Indian Women, Meena has been ranked as 35th Most Beautiful Indian Woman. Well renowned Southern Stars including Simran, Jyothika, Nayanthara, Trisha, Sneha, Sridevi and Kiran trail way behind her. ‘Ms Beautiful Eyes’ Meena truly deserves that ranking. No actress of her age survived such a too long tenure of 27 years in South Indian Cinema.

Meena paired with almost all South Indian Top Heroes in lead roles and she avoided glamourous roles in the beginning. But when she faced fierce competition from north Indian heroines, she started acting in glamourous roles too from Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar(1998). Besides acting, she has done Modelling, Singing, hosting TV programs and dubbing occasionally to be under limelight. Unlike other heroines, she did not quit the industry after marriage. She has been appearing as one of the judges for the second season of the dancing competition Boys VS Girls on Star Vijay. For the first time post-wedding, she has signed for ‘Thambikottai’, a Tamil film starring Narain and Prabhu in lead roles. Meena pairs Prabhu and Poonam Bajwa pairs Narain. Meena says “I accepted the offer since my role has got enough importance. Also, the storyline is gripping. ‘Thambikottai’ will be important in my career since this is my first film after entering wedlock earlier in this year”

News also says Meena signed one more Tamil film ‘Vidathey Pidi’, a comedy entertainer, opposite Prabhu and directed by T.P.Gajendran. She also committed a Kannada film titled “Hendthira Darbar” opposite Ramesh Arvind which is a remake of Tamil film “Varavu Yettana Selavu Paththana” In her late first innings, she was adamant in pairing with top heroes only and that too in lead roles and that’s why she suffered a lot. If she corrects her mistakes, she can conquer in her second innings too.

Reema Sen hot scenes in Aayirathil Oruvan – Fans Are you ready to enjoy?

Her official website describes her as ‘Glam Goddess’, ‘Sultry Siren’, ‘Dancing Sensation’, ‘Tantalizing Temptress’ and ‘Ravishing’ Reema. Yes my friend. I am talking about ‘Kolkata Cutesy’ Reema Sen. Her first Tamil film ‘Minnale’ was a super-duper hit and it established her as a glam doll who could also emote. She bagged Filmfare Best Female Debut Award for Minnale. After Minnale, she acted in lead roles in 3 big hit films Dhool, Chellame and Thimiru. All her other films were only moderate hits and it exploited her oomph factor alone.

Reema Sen is the one who acted in multi-heroine subjects in more number of films. In her latest film ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ also, she acted with Andrea. ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’ was under filming for more than 2 years and director Selvaragavan is now busy with its post production works to release it during Pongal Festival. Trusting Selvaragavan, Reema Sen worked 2 years for this mega project losing several good offers including Mani Ratnam’s Asokavanam. A leading Tamil daily says Selvaragavan assured Reema Sen while booking her for the film that both Reema Sen’s and Andrea character have equal importance in the film. But he is now going to show Reema Sen revealingly with extreme glamourous scenes on screen and Andrea decently. But it seems Reema Sen is not bothered by this news. If censor allows those alluring scenes, let my fans enjoy it, she said coolly.

Her cool answer did not surprise me because I read a Question and Answer published in her official site which goes like this: “Your mantra in life?” Sen’s Answer: “Life is an ice-cream, enjoy it before it melts” Yeah. Sen is really sensible!

Kasthuri - new tactics to grab offers!

Yes. I agree. You will stare at me strangely if I ask you to recall 1992 Miss Madras title holder Kasthuri. But if I say Chinnavar film’s ‘Anthiyile Vaanam Thanthanathom Podum’ song fame ‘Kasthuri’ probably you can. Is it not? She acted in handful of good films in Tamil and a couple of films in Malayalam and Telugu too. Kasthuri was a regular participant in the Chennai quizzing circuit. She was also one of the South India Finalists in the BBC's Mastermind India. She got married and settled abroad for a while, she is back to acting now.

Kasthuri’s latest appearance was in ‘Malai Malai’ opposite Prabhu. Audience could guess her age (35 yrs) on seeing her matured face on the silver screen. She has got her own tactics for grabbing opportunities in her re-entry attempt. She appears in ultra modern glamour dresses in movie premieres and cinema-centric public functions to show that she still looks young. You would have watched her photographs in Pazhassiraja premiere and Paiya audio release. Through her relentless efforts, she could get only a couple of films and that too not lead roles. She is presently acting in supporting roles in Nootrukku Nooru and Kadhal 2 Kalyanam. It seems she is going to perform an item song with Ajmal for the film Kadhirvel. She feels the fruits are not enough for the efforts taken by her. So, she is thinking of sliding to small screen soon.

Married women are treated as obsolete in the film industry. With all her shape and size sagging a lot, who will be interested in seeing her who has nothing new or tempting to offer? Except Radhika Sarathkumar, yesteryear heroines Simran, Kushboo, Ramya Krishnan are still trying their luck in small screen. My sincere suggestion to Kasthuri is to spend some time to understand the following saying of U.S. Car Manufacturer Henry Ford about success “The whole secret of a successful life is to find out what it is one's destiny to do, and then do it”

How Sona hot in her business?

“Attitude determines your Altitude” – you better know what this modern theory exactly means. Let’s see how Sizzling Busty Sona adapted this theory and reaping dividends.

Except Mirugam, Pathu Pathu and Kuselan, all other characters portrayed by Sona were only tiny roles. All roles were glamour-oriented roles. Her current projects are Veerachozhan and Sokkali. But she astonished film people by starting UniQ Boutique Shop in Chennai in January 2009. In April 2009, she announced production of Tamil film ‘Odu Machi Odu’ but it was dropped later. In July 2009, she applied for the approval of TN Govt. to open a Modern Pub with international standards in Chennai. Then the news of Sona fainting in Veerachozhan shooting spot came. This month, there was news about her drowning in a swimming pool while shooting for Sokkali. You might have watched her presence with skimpy clothes in the first row of all cinema related award functions held recently. Photographs of Sona’s Australia Visit were vigorously circulated over net around month back. While the actresses of her age and grade unable to hit the newsstands, how she could do it? When everybody doubts about her sources of income, how she could go on raising her earning potentials? With such a hefty size and matured face, how she could withstand competition and always get publicity?

It all shows that Sona’s public relation system is very efficient and she has very good contacts. Above all, it is her attitude towards life that brings her the success. Without taking anybody’s opinion in her mind, she has been optimally using her available resources with the right attitude. She may be believing Irish playwright and author Brendan Behan’s saying “There's no such thing as bad publicity except your own obituary”

Why Namitha scared about Malayalam movie offers?

As we all know, Buxom Babe Namitha is desperately in need of a hit to retain her title as the Sex Diva of South Indian Film Industry. She is relying greatly on her latest trilingual film ‘Nil Gavani Ennai Kadhali’, titled as Black Stallion in Malayalam and as Iddaru Monagallu in Telugu.

The Lusty Busty babe Namitha plays the role of a bar dancer in this film and she has exposed like never before including hot bedroom scenes and a hot number shot in the backdrop of a boat house in the backwaters of Kerala. During the audio launch held at Four Frames Preview theatre, Chennai recently, Four songs were screened which showed a Very Sexy and Glamourous Namitha dancing in club numbers, a rain song and even a folk song. At audio launch, Namitha seemed excited about this project and said, “This is my first film in Malayalam and though I got many offers earlier I was apprehensive about the working schedules there. The role gave me lots of scope to perform and the glam scenes are only in the songs, in the film I am covered from head to toe!”

A leading Tamil evening daily in its recent edition wrote that lot of offers from Malayalam film industry knocked Namitha’s door after acting in Black Stallion. But Namitha is scared of committing new projects in Malayalam as she feels that they may do morphing of her face, add it in second grade sex films and release it at morning 11 O’ Clock shows in Mallu theatres (In colloquial language they call it as ‘Bit’ films). The news also says that Namitha is ready to act with big stars like Mammooty and Mohanlal without any hesitation. Like you and me, Namitha too knows the famous proverb “Prevention is better than cure”

Why Namitha refused to act in Bed Room Scene?

It was astonishing when I read recently news about Namitha refusing to act in a bed room scene for a Tamil film. Because a few months ago, a fan of Namitha asked her in a chat on Sify.com “How do u feel to be called oomph factor for Kollywood?” “Proud!” was the reply of Boobiculous and Bootylicious Namitha. Then why she said NO now? The same question in your mind aroused in me also. Let us see what happened.

Sizzling Siren Namitha is presently acting in ‘Azhagana Ponnuthaan’ in a prostitute role with 18 year old teenager Karthees. As per the scene, Karthees chooses Namitha among other prostitutes and they have an intimate bed room scene thereafter. Namitha initially refused to act in the bedroom scene as she was not feeling comfortable to act in such intimate scene with a teenager even though she already acted intimately with Vijay, Ajith, Sarathkumar and Sathyaraj. But director Thiru convinced Namitha saying that they proceed with shooting of first shot and after finishing the first shot, Namitha can see the shot in monitor. If she feels OK, then they proceed shooting the entire scene. After seeing the first shot in monitor, Namitha refused to act further.

After the flop of Indira Vizha and Jagan Mohini, Namitha understood that directors are trying to exploit her oomph factor alone in films and they are not trying to establish her as a good actress. So, she is vigilant in shooting spots to avoid further exploitation. But, Everything has its price. If you pay the price, you will definitely get it. Am I right?

Bhuvaneswari joins Politics

Hip Hip Hooray! My Dear people of Tamil Community! All your poverty and problems are going to vanish! Here is great news for you. One more celebrity from Tamil Film Industry joins politics. ‘Prostitution Case’ fame Bhuvaneshwari joins ‘Moovendar Munnani Kazhagam’ (MMK) and she has been awarded the post of the Secretary of the State Wing for Women of MMK. You would be very eager to know what drove her to join politics and why she chose MMK? Scroll below to find the answer.

Bhuvaneshwari says Police called her to the Police Station just for an ordinary enquiry. Then they fabricated fake case on her stating that as if they caught her red-handed doing prostitution and she threatened police telling political leaders’ name. As Police could not prove her prostitution case in the Court when they caught her first time, they trapped her in a new case to take revenge. “I belong to Devar community. Dr.Sethuraman, Founder of MMK knows about my family and he sincerely discussed with me knowing that this is a fabricated case. So, I joined his party and having good belief in me he has given me a responsible post in his party. I will not use this post to take revenge on anybody. I swear that I did not tell name of any actresses blaming that they are indulging in prostitution. When I did not indulge in prostitution, how could I point out anybody? We all belong to a single family. Now, my party and lakhs and lakhs of youth belong to my community are backing me. Nobody can trouble me”, she added.

Dr.Sethuraman told that more than 99% of the people in politics are criminals. Bhuvaneshwari is not a criminal. As a renowned leader of her community, I admitted her in my party to relieve her from her present difficulties. Dr.Sethuraman’s intention of admitting Bhuvaneshwari in his party may be to attract more youth from his community and to gain publicity. Bhuvaneshwari might have joined him to get a shield against Police and continue her ‘career’ without problems. Whether she really indulged in prostitution or not is a separate debate. British Writer Samuel Johnson rightly said “All argument is against it; but all belief is for it.

Sridevi – Dhanush Aunty Role + Rupees One Crore remuneration

Sridevi who ruled the South Indian film industry as well as Bollywood for 3 decades right from Kandhan Karunai (1967) as a child artist to Judaai (1997) is often cited by critics and other media as one of the most talented and prominent actresses of India. Her re-entry in Tamil at the age of 46 aroused great interest among Kollywood audience but they opened their mouth too wide when they heard about her salary!

Actor Dhanush used the block buster films’ titles of his father-in-law Rajnikanth for his previous two films Pollathavan and Padikkathavan. Both films succeeded commercially. This time he is not only using the title but also remaking one of Rajnikanth’s block busters, Mappillai. Thalainagaram, Maruthamalai and Padikkathavan fame director Suraaj is going to direct the movie. Sweet Cutey Hansika Motvani is the heroine. The clash between Mother-in-law and Son-in-law is the core of the movie. The Mother-in-law character is vital and it is equally important to the hero’s role. Only if a prominent and talented actress portrays the role, it would be well-respected by the audience. Ramya Krishan refused and Tabu demanded huge money. Finally, director roped Sridevi for Dhanush’s Mother-in-law role offering 1 Crore salary! This is the first time in Tamil cinema history a veteran actress bags such a huge sum for one film.

Recently we read that Sridevi’s elder daughter Jhanvi is going to pair with Akhil Akkineni, Nagarjuna’s younger son in Telugu. Now, Sridevi herself got an opportunity in her mother tongue Tamil that too with high remuneration and meaty role. Russian-born U.S. writer and philosopher Ayn Rand said “Money demands that you sell, not your weakness to men's stupidity, but your talent to their reason

Sonia Agarwal & Selvaragavan Divorce

Once upon a time we believed that Wives are young men's mistresses, companions for middle age, and old men's nurses. But now-a-days things are happening like flash. Before we grasp the news about the marriage of a couple, their divorce news follows. If the couple is related to film industry, this love marriage and divorce game is very common. One of the great reasons why so many husbands and wives make shipwreck of their lives together is because a man is always seeking for happiness, while a woman is on a perpetual still hunt for trouble.

The hot news in Kollywood is Director Selvaragavan and his wife Sonia Agarwal mutually applied for divorce in the family court recently. Selvaragavan introduced Punjabi beauty Sonia Agarwal in the film ‘Kadhal Konden’ in 2003 and they married on 15th December 2006. Things were going smoothly till Selvaragavan starting his mega project ‘Aayirathil Oruvan’. Selvaragavan spent almost 2 years with Aayirathil Oruvan team. During the shooting, it was gossiped that both Selvaragavan and Andrea, one of the two heroines in the film, have become very intimate and they are sharing the same Caravan.

Sonia took the news lightly in the beginning. But when the news came through a reliable source, Sonia went to the shooting spot and caught them red-handed. She severely scolded Andrea and slapped in her face. (It was also told that she worked as Asst. Director of the film purposefully to confirm this news). Thereafter she quitted from Selvaragavan’s Alwarpet house and resided with her brother in Thiagarayar Nagar flat. She also acted in a TV serial ‘Naanal’ under the production of Kushboo in Kalaignar TV. Compromise endeavours made resulted in vain and they both jointly applied for divorce. The court has adjourned the case for 6 months and the case will again come for hearing on 12th February 2010. English playwright and poet Christopher Marlowe said “It lies not in our power to love or hate, For will in us is overruled by fate

Anushka is in Smoking actress list?

It is not easy to meet the expectations of oneself and the audience, but the Hot, Sexy, Sizzling and Gorgeous Actress Anushka got her loyalists twisted around her little finger. While she unfailingly sizzles for her ardent fans, she also throws in some surprising acts in meaty roles. After proving her acting prowess in ‘Arundhathi’, she did extremely glamourous role in Telugu ‘Billa’. She is portraying a role of prostitute in her upcoming Telugu movie ‘Vedam’ starring Allu Arjun and Manchu Manoj.

Anushka’s first Tamil film ‘Rendu’ did not fare well in box office but her hot glamourous appearance in two song sequences fascinated glam adorers. But her performance in Tamil dubbed version of ‘Arundhathi’ earned her fans from all walks of life. As my friend Tamil Sydney rightly predicted she would become No.1 heroine in Tamil after the release of Vettaikaran, Siruthai and Singam. A leading Tamil Website written recently in its gossip column that Anushka is always seen in studios with Cigarette in hand and smoke in her mouth. She has become a chain smoker and she lights one after the other. When asked why, she says she smokes for trimming her body. If we keep on smoking, we don’t feel hungry. Feeling hungry makes us eat more and end up in obese. Smoking is a trick to avoid this, she added.

Earlier Namitha and Reema Sen were gossiped for smoking. But Anushka’s case is entirely different. She is basically a Yoga Instructor. She maintains her shape perfectly through Yoga. If she smokes, she can’t do Yoga and Pranayama. I think she may pretend to be smoking just to avoid unwanted persons or heroes disturbing her in her leisure time. British ethnologist and writer Desmond Morris rightly said “The very act of smoking a cigarette is, for many, a major source of Displacement Activities... smoking can play a valuable role in a society full of minute-by-minute tensions and pressures. It is so much more than a question of inhaling smoke

Namitha prefers to call gents as Machans

Normally Political Leaders and Film Heroes used to address their followers and fans in unique way, to delight and motivate them, which becomes familiar among general-public also. It is the first time in Tamil film industry that an actress is adopting that tactics which has become popular not only among her fans but also among public. Yes. The Gorgeous, Hot and Sexy Namitha used to call her fans as ‘machans’ which means buddy or mate. She says she won’t call any guy as ‘brother’. According to her, all guys are only her machans.

“Stain in the Moon is its beauty
Dimple in your cheeks is a beauty
Curves that swallow men is your beauty”
Believe me! This is the literal translation of a Tamil lyric in Namitha’s upcoming movie, ‘Azhagana Ponnuthaan’. The story of the movie is a 16 year old teenage boy loves a beautiful girl who is elder than him. Namitha portrays the beautiful girl role in the film. The above lyric is written describing Namitha’s beauty. Namitha is very much admired after hearing the song and she says it is her favourite song. Once the film is released, this song would become favourite song of the youth also, she added. Right now, she is acting in ‘Jaganmohini’, ‘Azhagana Ponnuthaan’, ‘Black Stallion’(Malayalam) and ‘Deshdrohi’(Telugu). Recently she was booked for ‘Simha’(Telugu) opposite Balakrishna and the Telugu remake of ‘Alagia Tamil Magan’.

After the flop of Indira Vizha, Namitha accused its director for exploiting her oomph factor. But again she is acting in a titillating character in Azhagana Ponnuthaan because Namitha knows that there is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about. Irish playwright Sean O'Casey rightly said “I'd love to blow my own trumpet, but the work's too hard. And even if others supply the trumpet, they expect you to provide the wind

Shriya Platinum Gold Comparison

If you ask any top heroine “Are you trying for number one place?” they will politely say “I don’t believe in number game” But, in the background, they would be striving hard to catch that number one place. We can understand their hidden thoughts from their interviews to media.

Recently Shriya was asked “booking you for films reduced due to Nayanthara, Tamanna & Trisha?” Here is Shriya’s reply “Who said? It’s not like that. I am always busy. If Nayanthara, Tamanna and Trisha are like gold, then I am Platinum. Don’t you know the difference between Platinum and Gold?” Yes. Nobody denies that she got 50 lakh rupees for appearing in one song sequence and she has got 3 big films viz. Kanthaswamy, Jaggubhai and Kutty. But her recent mega flop Thoranai and her size zero appearance in it failed to pull audience to the theatres and also producers and directors are reluctant to book her because of her new size zero anatomy. After giving 4 mega flops, Nayanthara has only one film ‘Aadhavan’ in Tamil. So, she is trying to enter in Bollywood through Prabhu Deva. Trisha also faced severe setback as her most expected big films Beema, Kuruvi and Sarvam did not fare well in box office. Trisha also has only one Tamil film ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya’ as she supposedly quitted from ‘Aadukalam’ and she is going to act in Hindi film ‘Khatta Meeta’ in 2010. Nayanthara and Trisha were previously demanding 1 Crore per film. Due to their present dull scenario, Nayanthara is ready to settle for 75 Lakhs and even lesser than that. Trisha is ready for anything between 50 and 60 Lakhs while Shriya signs for 50 Lakhs per film. But Kollywood producers are ready to give more than 50 Lakhs to Tamanna before she demands.

British-born Canadian writer and economist Stephen Leacock said “It is the wishes and likings of the mass which largely dictate what the rest of us shall see and hear” So, all top heroines definitely know that for every door that shuts ten will open and they can always hoist their sail when the wind is fair.

Sneha ready for Bikini

In a get-together arranged by a matrimonial website the bachelors were asked how their bride should look like. Almost 80% of those present said that their bride should look like Smiling Queen Sneha. Such an established homely looking girl now said Okay for wearing Bikini! Are you stunned? Me too!

Her recent release “Achamundu Achamundu” has created awareness among audience about child sex abuse. Media say both Sneha and Prasanna, as a middle class parent, did justice to their roles. Sneha is doing a Cop role in ‘Bhavani IPS’ and she is acting in a negative role in Soundarya Rajni’s ‘Goa’. When such versatile performances are in her hands, she has taken a daring decision to act in bikini dress in Tollywood. Catch here what she said “I don’t hate wearing bikini dress. I did not have the necessity to do it till now. When the script needs it, there is nothing wrong in appearing bikini” But the Kollywood experts’ opinion about her decision is totally different. They say that “those who were adamant about doing only homely roles are already out of the field. Till now Sneha has been withstanding in the field by cleverly balancing between homely roles and meager glamour. She is also aware that she cannot withstand further by following the same technique. Moreover, she has been in this field for the past 9 years. So, before she becomes out of the field, she has decided to use her last weapon called glamour to encounter the competition”

Yes, you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs. Though the experts’ opinion is true, there is no harm in trying a new technique that makes you survive further because a Mexican proverb says “No endeavor is worse than that which is not attempted” and in the end, you're measured not by how much you undertake but by what you finally accomplish.

Sandhya and Shanthanu in love?

Shanthnoo Bhagyaraj alias Shanthanu acted as a child artist in his father’s film Vettiya Madichu Kattu (1998). He worked as an assistant director in his sister, Saranya Bhagyaraj's debut, Parijatham. Later he made his debut in Tamil with Sakkarakatti (2008). Sakkarakatti’s Songs, Taxi Taxi and Marudaani, created great expectations among youth as the songs were superbly composed by A.R.Rehman. Except songs, there was nothing special in the film and it was a mega flop. Hugely disappointed by the failure of his son’s debut film, Bhagyaraj launched the Tamil-Telugu bilingual film with the title “Pudhiya Vaarpugal” in an earnest attempt towards making Shanthanu a saleable hero, but he had to change the title (Sithu?) due to reports that it would be a remake of his eighties blockbuster with the same name. The film is likely to release in August. His next two movies, Sare Nee Istam (Telugu) and Angel John (Malayalam) with Mohanlal are under filming now.

Sandhya who made her debut with the super-duper hit Kaadhal in 2004 gave a moderate hit with her second movie Dishyum in 2006. Then she became slightly obese and looked plump and so she was struggling for good opportunities. But after P.Vasu booking her for Aaptha Rakshaka (Kannada), she bagged handful of films viz. Nootrukku Nooru, Manjal Veiyil, Odipolaama and Irumbu Kottai Murattu Singam. She sang two songs in her own voice for Manjal Veiyil. Though the film Manjal Veiyil did not fare well in box office, the unique behaviour of Sandhya in its premiere aroused a hot gossip that Sandhya and Shanthanu Bhagyaraj are in love.

During the premiere of Manjal Veiyil, everybody including producer, director, actors and chief guests were present but Sandhya requested the producer and director to delay the screening of the film as she is expecting a personal guest. She assented to start the show only after the arrival of Shanthanu belatedly. A leading evening Tamil daily says that they are quite frequently seen together late nights in Star hotels and they spend their time there joyfully till sunrise. They have not acted together in any movie. How love blossomed between them is still a surprise for everyone! French dramatist Georges Feydeau said “Just as there is no smoke without fire...there is no fire without ignition

Lakshmi Rai wants homely girl image

“Glamourous Lakshmi Rai now wants 'homely girl' image” - When I read this news in a leading English daily I really astonished because I read two different stories about her in a Tamil Weekly Magazine recently. One story tells that Lakshmi Rai, Namitha, Nayanthara, Meera Jasmine, Navya Nair and Vijayalakshmi enjoy gossips that spread about them. Other one is Lakshmi Rai is seriously trying through a most influential person in Bollywood to give a mega entry in Hindi Cinema.

Those two stories did not surprise me as it correlates with her natural behaviour of being always under limelight. But she said she wants to get rid of the glamour girl tag and is keen to do meaty roles to prove her acting prowess. She also said "I haven't got the right breaks at the right time. I'd like to do films with the likes of S.Shankar and A.R.Murugadoss and would also like to star opposite superstar Rajnikanth. I have proved that I can act besides looking glamorous. I hope that in the near future, the glamour girl tag would give way for a 'homely girl' image" Yes, she proved her acting skill in Dhaam Dhoom in an Advocate character. In Vamanan, she acted as a model and appeared in bikini. But she perfectly portrayed her tiny role of becoming aware of a political murder and her struggle to convey about the murder to the Police and in that effort she dies.

Belgaum Beauty Lakshmi Rai says her role in Naan Avanillai 2, which has five heroines including her, is quite significant. She said “When the film releases, my stand would be vindicated" Her latest decision to get rid of glamour girl tag is due to the Malayalam films, in which she portrayed non-glamourous performance oriented roles, that yielded her good name. There is nothing wrong in trying homely roles but you should not leave the quality that makes you survive till now. Hungarian-born U.S. psychiatrist Thomas Szasz rightly said “The proverb warns that, 'You should not bite the hand that feeds you.' But maybe you should, if it prevents you from feeding yourself

Pooja wants to achieve something before marriage

‘Naan Kadavul’ fame Pooja alias Pooja Gautami Umashankar was born on 25th June 1981 in Sri Lanka of a Sri Lankan Sinhalese mother and a Kannadiga father. She did her schooling and college in Bangalore and has a Masters Degree in Business & Management. She can speak Kannada, Tamil, Sinhalese and English. Her debut film was Ullam Ketkume in Tamil opposite Shaam but it was released as her third film in 2005 after the release of Jay Jay and Attagasam in 2003 and 2004 respectively. She became a sensation in Sri Lankan film industry and a household name after the success of Anjalika (2005) and Asai Man Piyambanna (2007). This also yielded her the role of broadband ambassador for Sri Lanka Telecom. She was also a part of Mani Ratnam's stage show, Netru, Indru, Naalai. She has been in the panel of the judges in the popular reality dance shows on Kalaignar TV.

Though her performance was notable in Pattiyal and Thambi, her later releases Thagappansamy, Pori, Oram Po did not yield her good name. At this juncture, she bagged female lead role in Bala's Naan Kadavul by replacing Bhavana and Karthika. She proved her great talent in the blind beggar character and she was appreciated by the critics for her fantastic performance. Pouring accolades on Pooja for her extra-ordinary performance in Naan Kadavul, Rajnikanth said that she has proved herself to be a talented actress. After winning rave reviews for Naan Kadavul, Pooja expected that lot of good offers would knock her door but it did not happen. She was booked for Soundarya Rajni’s own production ‘Goa’ as one of the two heroines replacing a Hollywood actress. But Pooja quitted from the Goa project too due to non-availability of her date. Her only Tamil film ‘Drohi’ is under filming now. But she is getting offers from Malayalam film industry after the success of her film ‘Bhramaram’ opposite Mohan Lal.

In the meantime, Pooja’s parents started searching a good bridegroom for her. But Pooja strictly told her parents that she will marry only after achieving something in film industry. I think Pooja has taken right decision because French novelist Gustave Flaubert said “Passions fade when one removes them from their usual surroundings

Chubby Sona faints - Strict Diet Control?

U.S. poet, short-story writer and essayist Raymond Carver said “She had money and she had connections. Connections were more important than money. But money and connections both—that was unbeatable” Sizzling Busty Sona is known for her glamourous appearances both in silver screen and in press interviews.

Glamour Bomb Sona quite frequently grabs the attention of the media by starting any new business or by announcing movie production or by her latest glamourous stills and news. She started UniQ Boutique Shop in Chennai in January 2009. In April 2009, she announced production of Tamil film ‘Odu Machi Odu’ with two heroines viz. German Model-cum-Pop Singer Gladia and Mumbai Model Swetha. But that project was dropped due to clash between Sona and the director. But Sona knows “Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall” Sona recently announced that she is going to open a Modern Pub with international standards in Chennai and the project is awaiting approval from the TN Government officials.

The latest news about Sona is she fainted and fell down while shooting a song sequence in Manamadurai for the film ‘Veera Chozhan’. She is acting as a guava fruit seller in the film. It was first told that she danced with empty stomach for the song. Later we came to know that she is in strict diet control recent times to reduce the weight of her chubby body. She drinks only fruit juices while dancing and avoids food. So, while shooting the song on the banks of river Vaigai under hot conditions, she fainted and fell down. Doctor confirmed that the dizziness is caused by hunger only. Then she relaxed and finished the song. Annoyed by the happening, Sona argued with the hospital which prescribed her the diet system after returning to Chennai.

Shriya cools herself in Isha Yoga Centre

Roman Emperor and Philosopher Marcus Aurelius said “Nowhere can man find a quieter or more untroubled retreat than in his own soul” I remembered this quote when I read the interview of Sivaji fame Shriya Saran in a popular Tamil weekly regarding her visit to Isha Yoga Centre near Coimbatore for a 3 days yoga program.

Though Shriya already learnt yoga in her Mumbai house privately employing a yoga teacher, she describes her visit to Isha Centre as “a journey in search of myself” She cheerfully spent her 3 days there eating together, participating in forest trekking with co-participants. She also enquired about ‘Isha Vidhya’ a home for orphans and planned to adopt/sponsor a child there soon. She shares her Isha Centre experiences this way “I was not so happy ever before; I would like this to continue. A good guru and spiritual journey is essential for everyone to guide their life in the right direction. I learned to think Who am I, my purpose of existence, what I am going to do, which is genuine relationship, how to lead better life in stressful environment, etc. This is the right age to search for everything. Youngsters should come to spiritual path. Yoga gave me beautiful life style, taught me how to use opportunities in right way and I am now feeling like a child. Sadhguru has returned me my childhood happiness like life without worries. As an actress yoga helps me to balance myself, fully concentrate on my profession and accomplish it happily”

When asked what her name denotes “Shriya means nothing; no meaning. After visiting Isha Centre, I believe that it will definitely give a meaning to my name as well as my life.” She discloses as to how she is maintaining her zero size this way “I am doing meditation and yoga at a particular time daily and playing whenever I find time. I always keep myself away from mental strain and stress” In reply to the question asking her is there any chance of drifting into spiritual path in future she raises her hands up towards the sky like Rajnikanth. U.S. author Nancy Kline rightly said “To take time to think is to gain time to live

Indira Vizha Namitha - Only Glamour Overdose

Here is what Namitha said enthusiastically about her role in Indira Vizha “It’s an unusual character who goes from bubbly to bitter due to her circumstances. You are going to see my potential as an actress in it. A lot of people were shocked at my performance” Not just that, she even watched a lot of movies featuring Demi Moore and Sharon Stone to get the right body language. But what I learned from the reviews after release is Namitha has been swindled by director Rajeshwar who convinced her about exemplary role, which eventually turned out to be a ludicrous show.

Indra Vizha is about Kamini (Namitha) who meets Sridhar (Srikanth) during one of her modeling assignments. She joins a TV channel with the help of Srikanth. Both of them fall in love, but Namitha is not satisfied with what she has and she marries Nasser who is the head of the TV channel. Now Kamini wants the best of both Worlds, the money that Nasser has and her old love Srikanth. But Sridhar is a man of ideals and he does not fall prey to her intentions. A spurned Kamini accuses Sridhar of sexual harassment and files a case against him. How Sridhar defends himself forms the climax of the story. The character of Namitha in Indira Vizha is of the outlook that ‘one can succeed even at the cost of one’s ideals’ Indira Vizha is a sleazier version of Barry Levinson’s Michael Douglas-Demi Moore Disclosure (1994).

Namitha seems to be assuming herself that she has done something better. But the film is made purely to titillate and is full of half naked females in the form of Namitha, who has exposed the maximum along with Ragasiya, new girl Hema Malini and a pole dancer in a bar! Forget the sexual content of the movie, what irritates you the most is the half a dozen songs inside night clubs, that comes at regular intervals. The movie seems to be constructed exclusively around vulgar glamour and it has been made with the sole intent of making full use of Namitha’s oomph factor. Namitha is all about glamour gone overboard and nothing else. Titillation doesn’t end with just Namitha or her costumes, there are loads of explicit stuff in the name of dialogues and double entendres appear in every other frame. No surprises as to why this film was given an A certificate. Overall the movie is mainly focused on Namitha’s glamour and will be a treat only to her fans.

Nayanthara Prabhu Deva Ramlath & Morality

Canadian-born U.S. film actor Donald Sutherland said “When you're working for a good director, you become subjective and submissive. You become his concubine. All that you seek is his pleasure” This saying is about the contribution of an actress in bringing out a good film by delivering her best as conceived by the director. But Nayanthara misunderstood the saying and her affair with Prabhu Deva has now become an open secret.

The latest news is Nayanthara negotiated with Prabhu Deva’s wife Ramlath in the hopes of reaching a mutually satisfying agreement. Nayanthara personally met Ramlath and assured her that there won’t be any trouble from her side and Ramlath need not resort to the divorce idea. And both of them would amicably live with Prabhu Deva. Ramlath quietly listened to the decision of Nayanthara as she had no other go. Taking the silence of Ramlath as her concurrence to the decision, Nayanthara introduced Prabhu Deva to his brother in Dubai. She revealed this fact to a website recently. When asked about when she is getting married or is it already over, she dodged. But she told that she will definitely invite everybody and publicly announce her marriage.

Nayanthara should have given a thought to the following anonymous sayings “A wife is sought for her virtue, a concubine for her beauty” and “The first wife is matrimony, the second company, the third heresy” Prabhu Deva was gossiped with every heroine he paired when he was a busy hero because of his playboy activities. He knows how to trap heroines and least bothers about morality. This compromise idea initiated by Nayanthara reveals that she considered the advice of Rajnikanth to some extent and tried to behave morally. U.S. Writer Ernest Hemingway said “What is moral is what you feel good after, and what is immoral is what you feel bad after

Shruthi Kamal Hassan ready for Bikini and lip kiss

Does anybody teach young fishes to swim? There is no wonder in a daughter having traits similar to his father upon reaching adolescence. Yes. I am talking about Shruthi Kamal Hassan’s recent statement on wearing bikini dress and acting in lip lock scenes.

Shruthi has acted as heroine in Hindi movie ‘Luck’ which is scheduled to release worldwide on 24th of this month. Ameer Khan’s relative Imran Khan is the hero of this film. Shruthi has sung a song also for this film. In a press meet she said “I welcome acting in bikini dress. There is nothing wrong. Because a girl can reveal her beauty absolutely in bikini dress alone. I would love to act with bikini dress. There is a scene in my forthcoming film ‘Luck’ in which I have acted with bikini dress. I don’t like my father’s presence while shooting intimate romance scenes. I have no hesitation in acting with bikini dress when my father is absent in the set” Besides acting, she is composing music for Kamal Hassan’s upcoming film ‘Unnaippol Oruvan’ She says there will be lots of surprises for the audience in the soundtrack of Unnaippol Oruvan.

Kamal Hassan is the trend-setter of Lip Lock scenes in Tamil Cinema. He has the obsession of exhibiting his bare body to the audience (You can recall here the ‘Aalavandan’ Still of Kamal with skin dress). The statement of Shruthi Kamal Hassan will surprise only those who don’t know this anonymous saying “The law of heredity is that all undesirable traits come from the parent

Namitha next competitor Hema Malini

English Poet Richard Alison described Beauty as “There is a garden in her face, Where roses and white lilies grow” I remembered this quote when I saw the face of Miss beautiful eyes and busty Hemamalini in the stills of ‘Indravizha’ and ‘Naan Avanillai Part II’.

There is no wonder director Shakthi Chidambaram selecting Hemamalini as heroine for his next movie ‘Guru Sishyan’. The director’s favorite heroine is the hot and sexy Namitha. Sizzling Siren Namitha became the Sex Diva of the Kollywood through his films only as he was continuously giving her opportunity. But Namitha has been established as glamourous actress in the minds of the audience rather than a homely actress. But Hemamalini is capable of handling both homely characters and also glamorous roles as she is not only curvaceous but also having very cute face that can deliver emotions. She acted as Srikanth’s wife in ‘Indravizha’ which is slated to release on 10th of this month. ‘Naan Avanillai Part II’ is under filming now. After release of these films, Hemamalini will give a tough competition to Namitha and it is a welcome one because Competition is a performance stimulant.

It is because of her talent Hemamalini is booked for third movie before release of her first two films. ‘Guru Sishyan’ has created great expectations among movie buffs as it is for the first time ‘Comedy Kings’ Satyaraj, Sundar.C and Vadivelu are acting together in this film. Surely Hemamalini will add spices to the film. So, the film will be an out-and-out entertainer as Shakthi Chidambaram knows “Success is having the right stuff in the right place at the right time — and neither too much nor too little of it

Flora – High temptation attempt

30-year-old Actress Flora alias Asha Saini alias Mayuri, accused of being involved in a US Visa racket, has recently grabbed attention of the media and movie buffs with her extremely sexy stills for the film ‘Uchakattam’.

This is a comeback movie for Flora as she is doing the lead role after a long time and she strongly believes that this film will give her a re-entry. So, she has exhibited upmost glamour in this film and her appearance in every scene will be a feast for the audience. Besides glamour, she has also acted in a lip lock scene with Gemini, hero of the film. It is said that Flora had no hesitation in performing the lip lock and she performed it aesthetically. But that single lip lock scene took 10 takes because the hero was slightly nervous. ‘Uchakattam’ is a ghost-centric thriller in which Miss Bangalore Swathi is doing the ghost role. The movie is produced by Gopal, producer of ‘Thagappansamy’, who is also portraying main villain role in this film.

Life does not come with any guarantees and you have to go with the flow. It seems Flora is trying to give her best for her re-entry emulating her predecessors’ way. She knows the meaning of this proverb “If you fall off a cliff, you might as well try to fly. After all, you got nothing to lose

Meenakshi – example for shameful audacity

Austrian-born German Political and Military Leader Adolf Hitler said “The world belongs to the man with guts! God helps him!” I think Meenakshi misunderstood that saying. She has been adopting some disagreeable qualities and shameful audacity.

After seeing her performance in Karuppasamy Kuthagaitharar, everybody thought that she is one another homely and modest girl after Devayani, Sneha, Bhavana, etc. But her glamourous appearance in Taxi No.4777 and Rajathi Raja utterly astonished everyone. Especially Ragava Lawrence measuring her chest size and oil massaging her tummy revealed how bold she has become in flaunting her assets. The latest news is a hotel in Vadapazhani, where Meenakshi usually stays, has refused to allot room for Meenakshi because she and her lover, Anjathe and Taxi fame Ajmal, are creating unwanted scenes in the hotel after taking drinks in the Bar. They both are openly sharing their intimacy in front of other visitors of the hotel. Though it is common among actors behaving like this, hotel admin asked Meenakshi to vacate. She is getting same type of ‘vacate please’ requests from other hotels also and hence she keeps on changing her hotels.

Meenakshi may say “Let him who is without sin cast the first stone” and she could continue her unabashed behaviour. But it is good for her to change her attitude because “Ability can take you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there

Tamannaah Bharath Lip Lock for Kanden Kadhalai

U.S. film actor Marilyn Monroe said “Hollywood is a place where they'll pay you a thousand dollars for a kiss and fifty cents for your soul”. Following Bollywood, Kollywood directors have been conceiving lip lock scenes for their films just to gain publicity and pull youth to the theatres without considering its relevance to the core of the film story. But when I read cutie Tamannaah has given green signal for lip lock with Bharath for the film ‘Kanden Kadhalai’, I am not surprised because the story needs it.

As you all know ‘Kanden Kadhalai’ is a Tamil remake of Hindi super-hit film ‘Jab We Met’ in which Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor performed the lead roles. The story is Kareena Kapoor runs away from her home to marry her lover. She meets Shahid Kapoor during this journey who likes her juvenile behaviour and helps her to reach to her lover. But her lover refuses to accept her ridiculing her childish and hasty decision and asks her to go back to her home. Shahid convinces both of them and takes them to Kareena Kapoor’s home to arrange marriage. But Kareena’s family misunderstands that Shahid is the lover of Kareena. While brainstorming for executing the marriage, Kareena understands the true love of Shahid and she kisses Shahid in front of her lover to convey that she is going to marry Shahid. That one lip lock scene avoids all lengthy dialogues and picturised in a humourous way as to how a childlike girl behaves when she finds her true love.

The performance of both Shahid and Kareena was outstanding in ‘Jab We Met’ and the chemistry between them was excellent. Tamannaah and Bharath have already proved that they are good performers. Whether they could emulate and deliver the performance and chemistry of Shahid and Kareena is a question for which we have to wait till ‘Kanden Kadhalai’ hits the silver screen!

Lakshmi Rai makes Muthirai certified as A

Basque Country, autonomous region in north central Spain, is famous for its proverbs. Here are its two simple yet profound proverbs for your glance: “When the fox starts preaching, look to your hens”. “Gold, women, and linen should be chosen by daylight”. Now let us see how this proverbs correlates with our subject.

Behind her every action or statement of the Belgaum Beauty Lakshmi Rai, there will be an ulterior motive which we colloquially call as hidden agenda. While campaigning for BSP Candidate Vijaysingh in Bangalore in the recently held election, she said she very much likes the ideals and plans of BSP Chief Mayavathi and hence she campaigned for BSP. Later we came to know that this Vijaysingh is a multimillionaire and he is a good old friend of Lakshmi Rai. A leading evening newspaper in Tamil in its latest issue said that Lakshmi Rai was upset after watching 3 consecutive defeats of Indian Cricket Team in T20 World Cup and she was crying throughout the night. She also conveyed her crying throughout the night to Captain MS Dhoni through her sister. She has done so to sentimentally touch MS Dhoni and thereby renew her relationship with him, the newspaper added. Now, don’t you feel that those 2 proverbs are exclusively written for MS Dhoni? Dhoni beware!

To finish with good news for movie buffs, Lakshmi Rai is going to feast your eyes in Mutthirai, a Vision Jeeva Studios film, which is going to hit the silver screen this week. Lakshmi Rai has performed a dance sequence for a song along with Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant. After seeing Lakshmi Rai’s skimpy clothes and her extremely sexy movements in that song, the Censor Board asked Director Srinath to remove those scenes; otherwise they will give only ‘A’ certificate. But the director refused to remove the scenes and accepted ‘A’ certificate. Isn’t that news sounds cool to you? Enjoy!

‘Saroja’ and ‘Pasanga’ fame Vega Tamotia was born in India but was raised in Sydney, Australia. She did her schooling and college there. She is an economist by profession. She had done lot of courses in acting throughout her high school and college and also done many such courses from prestigious colleges. After coming to India, she is into a professional theatre, Broadway Drama Troupe, Mumbai, for two years. She had done many plays and dramas. It was on one such day she was spotted by Venkat Prabhu for Saroja.

After acting as a hep, cool and even arrogant 12th Standard girl in the interesting adventure and fun flick ‘Saroja’, she has played a totally different role of a kindergarten teacher in a small town in ‘Pasanga’. Portrayal of her role in the film is fantastic and it is a mixture of emotions- angry in one moment, happy in the next moment and it is very bubbly. Her acting skills were put to test in this movie which yielded her due credit for her performance. This film has given her the break she wanted. Her current projects are ‘Housefull’ in Telugu, ‘Aamras’ in Hindi and ‘I am God’, a short film in English. Vega wants to portray interesting and new characters in her future ventures and work with exciting teams. About doing glamour roles she said “Yeah, why not? I will do glamorous roles. According to me, glamour is not necessarily revealing. Glamour is all about attitude, body language and not about wearing skimpy clothes”. Russell Crowe, Aamir Khan, Kamal and Surya are her favourite actors while Julia Roberts, Kajol and Asin are her favourite actresses.

The latest news about Vega is she wants to do dubbing in her own voice for her part from her next film irrespective of the language of the film...more

Mutthirai, a Vision Jeeva Studios film, is directed by Srinath, director Jeeva's assistant. The story and screenplay is by Anees Tanvir, wife of late director Jeeva. Salim, one of Jeeva's assistants, is the cinematographer. The team claims that Mutthirai will be a blast for the youth, a perfect mixture of action, romance and humour and a trendy musical entertainer. ‘Chennai-28’ and ‘Sattham Podathey’ fame Nitin Sathya pairs newcomer Manjari Phadnis, a Bollywood actress and ‘Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu’ fame Daniel Balaji pairs Lakshmi Rai whilst ‘Polladhavan’ fame Kishore plays an important role and Bollywood actress Rakhi Sawant makes a special appearance. Goddess of Glamour Namitha has 2500 fan clubs

As you all know, ‘Jagan Mohini’ is a remake of the yesteryear classic Jagan Mohini (1978), directed by Vittalacharya, in which Narasimha Raju and Jayamalini played the lead roles. The present version is being produced by H.Murali, directed by N.K.Viswanathan and music is handled by Maestro Ilayaraja.

Narasimha Raju, hero in the old movie, is acting as the father of hero Raja in the new version. Gorgeous Namitha plays the character of a sexy ghost performed by Jayamalini in the original. Nila @ Meera Chopra is the second heroine. Namitha has high hopes on Jagan Mohini and says, "The story of the film is really interesting and has given me a new experience. No doubt, this film will become a super hit in both Tamil and Telugu". Since it is a period film, Namitha has strained to pronounce the typical ancient Tamil in the film. "It took me more time to prepare for that. But I managed and completed it successfully", says Namitha. The major highlight of the film will be a scene in which glamorous Namitha harvests pearls underwater. The underwater sequence is shot between Raja and Namitha who have been given special training for this sequence. Namitha says “when my director suggested to me to go to the gym for reducing my weight, I rather preferred learning Scuba Diving which later helped me a lot in the shooting of my film Jaganmohini. My director was so happy with my new looks and my talent in diving. My talent in underwater diving came to my help in the climax scenes. When my director along with others starts appreciating me, for my effort and new looks, frankly speaking I am overwhelmed with joy and happiness”. Jaganmohini is expected to release during the last week of June...more
