Nayanthara appeared homely when introduced in ‘Ayya’ by Hari. Everybody lifted their eyebrow when they saw the Still of her lip bitten by Simbu in ‘Vallavan’. After pairing with her in ‘Chandramukhi’, Rajini used her in all his subsequent films ‘Sivaji The Boss’ and ‘Kuselan’. Kollywood audience went crazy after seeing her explosive appearance in ‘Billa’ (pairing Ajith). She appeared even more glamorous in ‘Satyam’ (pairing Vishal). Normally heroines act in glamorous roles initially and later transform themselves in homely and character roles successfully (example: Kushboo, Simran, etc).But heroines who acted initially in homely characters failed later when they wanted to act in glamorous characters (example: Sneha). But Nayanthara disproved this theory and she transformed herself successfully from homely to glamorous characters. Not only had her performance gone up but also her remuneration. She is all set to stun Kollywood audience in her forthcoming movies ‘Villu’ (pairing Vijay) and ‘Dubai Rani’ (pairing Ravi Teja) the dubbed Tamil version of Telugu movie Dubai Seenu.
