Because the cold war between a billionaire Mother-in-law and her pauper Son-in-law is the core of the movie. The Mother-in-law character is crucial and it is equally important to the hero’s role. Moreover, the actress so selected should not only be talented but also look beautiful as she will be acting as mother of ‘hot cutesy’ Hansika Motwani. Sridevi and Tabu demanded hefty amount. Then the team considered Ramya Krishnan, Jayapradha and Anu Haasan but finally they managed to rope Manisha Koirala. News says Manisha did not demand much and she is signing the agreement in a day or two.
