If a debutante puts her best and the film also becomes hit, the actress’s happiness doubles and she would be flooded with more offers. That’s what happened to ‘Nadodigal’ Abhinaya and ‘Kalavaani’ Oviya. Contrary to this, the debutante puts her best but the film bombs at box office, all you have to say is it is her bad luck or misfortune. That’s what exactly happened to Anaka or Anakha aka Amala Paul!
Hailing from God’s Own Country, Anaka has charming face and well-endowed assets for which Keralites are known for. She has also proved her talent in her debut film ‘Sindhu Samaveli’ but the story line is controversial. A daughter-in-law, while her husband is out of town for his studies, enters into a ‘relationship’ with her father-in-law. What happens when her husband comes to know of it forms the crux.
Immediately after release of the movie Anaka said she is quite happy that her role is getting all-round appreciation. She said far from being labelled ‘controversial’, the film should be taken as a very realistic one as it only depicts what has been going on in our society. But I would say she was not conscious as incest is always dangerously uncomfortable territory as there is always perversion, profanity and questionable morality involved in it. She received anonymous calls from saviours of Tamil culture giving her ‘death threats’. What is her opinion after receiving ‘death threat’ calls? Scroll down.
Now Anaka says she committed Sindhu Samaveli after seeing Mirugam directed by Saamy. She didn't know Tamil at all at that time. She acted in the film by mugging up the dialogues without knowing its real meaning. She was not aware that the film would create this much problems. She wants to forget her portrayal in Sindhu Samaveli. She says her forthcoming release ‘Mynaa’ would be her real debut movie. How is it?
Sindhu Samaveli was not the first film Anaka signed up in her career. She first signed 'Veerasekaran' in her original name, Amala Paul and then changed her name to Anaka and got the offer of Sindhu Samaveli which is now released ahead of Veerasekaran. Now she is back to her original name from ‘Mynaa’. Let’s wish her original name Amala Paul yields her good luck.
